Care for Your Whole Health

A Well Woman Exam is more than a Pap test. It is a yearly checkup that looks at your whole health, including your heart, hormones, breasts, reproductive health, bones, and emotional well-being. Finding problems early makes them easier to treat, and regular visits help you and your provider spot changes over time.

At We Care Urgent Care Plus and FATTAH Primary Care, your exam, lab work, and follow-up are handled under one roof. If you or your family get sick between visits, our urgent care is open 7 days a week.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

01

Timing

If a Pap test is planned, try to schedule your visit when you are not on your period.

02

Bring

Your photo ID, insurance card, a list of medicines and supplements, and the date of your last period.

03

Fasting

If your provider plans to check cholesterol or blood sugar, do not eat for 8 to 12 hours before your visit. Water and your regular medicines are fine.

04

Your family history

Especially breast, ovarian, and colon cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

05

Write questions

No question is too small or too personal.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

Insurance and Cost

We accept most major insurance plans. Many plans cover a yearly well woman exam and recommended screenings at no cost to you when you see an in-network provider.

If you bring up a new problem or an ongoing condition during your exam, such as pelvic pain, a skin concern, or a change to a medicine, that part of the visit may be billed as a regular office visit, and a copay may apply. Our front desk team is happy to check your benefits before your visit. Self-pay options are available.
